Diabetes Clinical Research Program


This position supports BRI’s efforts to educate and engage potential participants and medical providers about our Diabetes Clinical Research Program.

Duties include:

  • Preparing for and attending events throughout the Pacific Northwest
  • Recruiting patient participation and provider interest in research studies
  • Conducting diabetes risk screening and enrolling registry participants in the field
  • Assisting with the development and distribution of print and online materials, including social media posts, newsletters, brochures, and other duties as assigned.
  • Providing administrative support such as tracking participants and test kits, maintaining supplies inventory, building test kits, updating mailing lists, making copies and other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Must maintain subject and document confidentiality at all times, understand and comply with appropriate protocols and regulations. May be asked to perform phlebotomy.


  • Strong computer, written, organizational and communication skills and a high school diploma.
  • Basic graphic design skills, including proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, are highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well with a team are essential to this position.
  • The ideal candidate has an understanding of type 1 diabetes and an enthusiasm for diabetes research.
    Must be available to travel and work some evenings and weekends.
  • Public relations, marketing, project planning or other experience requiring creativity and innovation a plus.
    Experience in healthcare or research preferable.
