Overview

The Research Assistant will work to support the aims of the Center for Interventional Immunology at Benaroya Research Institute (BRI) which directs the Clinical HUB for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) TrialNet.  TrialNet is an NIH sponsored international multi-center clinical trial network aiming to delay the onset of clinical T1D.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the candidate will:

  • Assist with managing team inboxes
    • Triage and respond to internal requests for resources (how to order print materials, where to locate talking points, presentation templates etc.)
    • Respond to research / screening participant questions and add to our common response catalog
    • Triage and respond to requests for event support (external organizations and TrialNet sites)
    • Route coordinator study questions to CRA for corresponding study
  • Entry maintenance in TrialNet systems (Online Referral Tool and Event Management System)
    • Use system to connect potential participants with local TrialNet sites
    • Collaborate with the TrialNet Coordinating Center to replace screening kits
    • Update event listings from TrialNet sites and external partnering diabetes organizations
    • Pull lists for zip codes near events when requested
  • Notetaking on various protocol / project / operational meetings
    • Assist with meeting facilitation (for Steering Committee coordinator sessions, Affiliate Meeting, virtual coordinator meetings)
    • Occasional travel may be required (5%)
  • Scheduling social media and newsletters
    • Contribute to monthly content calendar
    • Assist with execution of campaigns
    • Assist with advertising and promotion

Qualifications

  • Requires strong computer, written, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • High School diploma
  • Work experience in health care or research is preferable

Compensation

$21.06 - $29.27 hr.
