Benaroya Research Institute (BRI) at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is a leading center for cancer clinical research, conducting over 100 studies annually in areas such as chemotherapy, radiation, targeted therapies, diagnostics, and quality-of-life improvements. Current trials, sponsored by the National Cancer Institute and industry partners, are actively enrolling participants with a broad range of cancers, including bladder, blood, brain, colorectal, gynecologic, hepatobiliary, neuroendocrine, pancreatic and prostate.
The work schedule may vary – it is typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.

The Clinical Research Program (CRP) at Benaroya Research Institute (BRI) works together with clinicians at Virginia Mason Medical Center to bring clinical research opportunities to patients, giving them access to clinical trials for over 100 different conditions including in the areas of cancer, digestive disease, cardiology, and neuroscience and spine. BRI’s CRP oversees all clinical research at Virginia Mason Medical Center, combining the expertise of a world-renowned research institute with remarkable health care to support studies that contribute to improving the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
